TUESDAY: NAIROBI – SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

Collected at 07:00 hrs from the Airport/Nairobi hotel and depart for Samburu National Reserve, driving North, Past Nanyuki (where you cross the Equator and possible to make a stop for a brief demonstration of Coriolis Effect.

Continue further north, past Isiolo, the gateway to the northern frontier Parks of Samburu / Buffalo & Shaba. Arrive at your camp for lunch.

Late afternoon game viewing drive in the Buffalo Springs / Samburu National Reserves – hopefully an opportunity to see all the BIG five of this spectacular area!

Return to the Lodge at sunset, for dinner and overnight at SAMBURU INTREPIDS CAMP.

WEDNESDAY: SAMBURU NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy morning and late afternoon game viewing drives in the reserve – with mid-morning and early afternoon at leisure at the Camp, perhaps for a swim in view of the high temperatures in the area.

The day will culminate at sunset, with pre-dinner cocktails / sundowner back at Camp.

The cocktails will be followed by a private bush dinner.

Overnight at SAMBURU INTREPIDS CAMP.

THURSDAY: SAMBURU – LAKE NAIVASHA

Distance: 330KM / Time 07 hrs

After breakfast at the Lodge, depart at 07.00 hrs for the papyrus fringed shores of Lake Naivasha, with a brief game viewing drive as you exit the Park.

The road will take you through Thompson Falls in Nyahururu – where you will stop for a visit as well as a garden lunch, with the cascading falls as a musical background.

Thereafter continue with your onwards journey, a scenic drive and dramatic descent down the Great Rift Valley Escarpment to the shores of Lake Naivasha, where you make a stop for an hour’s boat ride excursions, an opportunity to appreciate the expansive bird life inhabiting the Lake, as well as close encounters with the numerous hippo families colonizing the Lake.

Then continue towards the Lodge, for dinner & overnight at .THE GREAT RIFT VALLEY LODGE.

FRIDAY: LAKE NAIVASHA / LAKE NAKURU

After an early breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National Park for game viewing, in this unique and famed flamingo sanctuary, but presently a RHINO Park, as the former have relocated elsewhere due to the high-water levels of the Lake.

Lunch will be at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, located on a Cliff overlooking the entire park – a bird’s eye view that’s second to none!

After lunch further game viewing and a leisurely return drive to your lodge in Naivasha.

Optional nature and bird spotting walk around the expansive Lodge grounds at 16:30 hrs or perhaps for a quick round of golf on the Lodges 18-hole course (Green / Caddy Fees / rental of equipment payable direct).

At sunset, a pre-dinner cocktails followed by a private dinner within the Lodge grounds.

Overnight at THE GREAT RIFT VALLEY LODGE.

SATURDAY: LAKE NAIVASHA - MAASAI MARA

After breakfast, at 07:30 hrs, depart for the world famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, driving along the Rift Valley floor, via Mai Mahiu Town, where you turn left towards the Maasai Mara – going past Narok Town (the Maasai Capital).

Arrive at your camp time for lunch.

Afternoon game viewing drive in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, generally acclaimed as the finest game viewing area in the world!

Return to the camp at sunset, for dinner and overnight at ZEBRA PLAINS MARA CAMP.

SUNDAY: MAASAI MARA

Morning and late afternoon game viewing drives, if lucky with plenty of opportunities to capture world class photos of the big five, or even perhaps the big cats on a hunt/kill! Good luck!

(Option of full day game viewing drives with packed lunches)

On return to the Camp from a full day of game viewing, at 16:30 hrs, depart for a nature walk within the Conservancy adjacent to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve.

This will culminate with sundowners or a BUSH dinner to mark and celebrate your Kenya safari and honeymoon!

All meals and overnight at ZEBRA PLAINS MARA CAMP.

MONDAY: MAASAI MARA – NAIROBI – DEPART

After breakfast at the Camp, embark on your return journey to Nairobi, arriving in the early afternoon.

On arrival, taken to the famous Carnivore Restaurant for a meaty feast!

Thereafter transfer to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international departure.
