VILLAS

Sliding shade doors and panoramic views connect Segera’s elegant villas with their wild surroundings. Warm interiors flow out onto private decks, overlooking the endless African savannah or the botanical Sculpture Garden. All six villas combine a bespoke safari style with high quality fittings, making them a comforting modern interpretation of the African dream, accompanied by a personal Villa Attendant to look after you during your stay.

SEGERA HOUSE

Segera’s signature villa, ‘Segera House’, features all of the usual villa highlights and more. Ornate North African crafted doors swing open into a double volume reception area, jeweled with dramatic chandeliers and an open plan lounge. The three indoor lounge areas spill out onto an outdoor living area with private garden and deliciously cool plunge pool. Up the galleried staircase, two vast bedrooms with en suite bathrooms open onto decks that look out across the savannah from beneath a thatch-fringed roof.

VILLA SEGERA

Villa Segera is the perfect romantic hideaway for two, consisting of two creatively assembled wooden buildings connected by a swing bridge, with a large en suite bedroom, private dining areas, a generous salt-water swimming pool and two lounge areas decorated with fine antiques and artworks, including an exclusive Michael Poliza photo gallery.

DINING AND WINING

Segera’s dining experience is personalized and creative. Menus focus on fresh, seasonal, homegrown ingredients and are thoughtfully tailored to guests’ preferences, specific venue styles and individual wine recommendations.

Segera’s team of professional chefs can also cater to any unusual or hypoallergenic cuisine requirements, including vegan, gluten-free, raw food, nut-free or otherwise.

Enjoy a family meal al-fresco by the oasis swimming pool, or a romantic dinner for two in your villa’s private lounge area, a celebratory banquet in the unusual candlelit setting of the Wine Tower, a refreshing breakfast at the Paddock House, with stunning views of wildlife and Mount Kenya, a Samburu themed feast in the stable gallery, a Gatsby style dinner in the Explorer Lounge or a stylish picnic watching elephants play in the Segera river, Segera Retreat offers a range of exhilarating and unique places for intimate and group dining.

Choose from a large variety of whites, reds and rosé, sparkling wines, sweet dessert wines and ports, all of our wines originate from African vineyards that follow principles of minimal intervention and sustainable winemaking practices, producing wines with rich characters that pair well with various courses and palates. Each vineyard practices traditional wine culture techniques, resulting in wines with minimal chemical applications and maximum expression of the fruit and soil from which they were grown. Fine French champagnes are also chilled and ready for special celebrations.
